MAJOR EVENT SECURITY REVIEW
MAJOR EVENT SECURITY REVIEW – CROWD MANAGEMENT & INFORMATION SHARING
A major event administrator required a review of all security practices across the organisation with a particular focus on addressing disruptive behaviour by spectator’s at national and international events. Developing an understanding of what risks may influence the organisation and demonstrating how to address those risks in a cost effective manner was a client priority.
HATAMOTO was engaged to develop a better understanding of the legislation in each State and determine where improved policy was required to support legislation gaps across jurisdictions. Key to the success of the project was to improve the process of sharing information between stakeholders across complex organisational structures and within multiple operating environments. The ultimate aim was to identify repeat offenders and or troublemakers and potentially exclude them from attending future events.
As a result of the project, a successful organisation and administration-wide security risk management plan was implemented. This included improved security policy, practices and understanding by all relevant stakeholders across various competitions, including international events, as well as enhanced relationships with Police and Emergency Services.
